As soon as you power up the Brother Innov-is XV sewing machine you know it is special. The huge 10.1” screen is HD and the ability to load your own videos really shows how vibrant the colours are. Not only does it beep and buzz like regular computerised embroidery machines, the Brother XV plays music at start up.

It uses a faster processor so your designs appear on-screen more quickly, and colour shuffling is swifter too. Editing designs, adding text, resizing, or using the NEW auto punch feature are very responsive to every touch of the screen.

From the My Custom Design Centre, you can literally scan an image. We used a childs hand drawn and painted picture, placed it in the scanning frame and let the machine scan it (just as our video shows). We then used the editing tools to rub out/delete areas we did not need. Added stitching where we needed to and when ready we touched the screen which turned the image in to stitches allowing us to stitch it out in the appropriate sized hoop.

Often, we have a vision of an embroidery we like. But its not easy to imagine a specific embroidery design in the colours you require. Via the colour shuffle feature, the Innovis XV will tell you how many colours are in that design enabling you to select any colour range you need for matching your sewing project. Now the machine will shuffle the colours and show you up to 99 different variations of the same design but using different colours in various blocks of the design. It totally changes the original design into your very own customised design with a perfect colour match for your project.

Quilters will love the laser line guide, which gives a perfect straight line to follow. This innovative  system  projects a perfect straight line onto your fabric, making wonky hems a thing of the past. Its perfect for piecing whilst quilt making.
